"Optics in Everyday Life" – Student University 2022 at the Chair for Technology of Optical Systems

From July 25 to 29, the doors of various institutes, including those of the Chair for Technology of Optical Systems (TOS), are open to inquisitive middle- and high-school students. As part of the Student University 2022, exciting lecture series will provide students with insights into the field of optics.

The Student University of Mechanical Engineering enables young students to get a taste of the individual departments of Mechanical Engineering. They will gain insight into the everyday life of university students and the realities of their work. The colorful and exciting program presents a variety of topics related to robotics, production engineering, process engineering (chemical engineering), plastics processing, textile engineering, automotive engineering, and optics and laser technology.

On July 29, 2022, young students can attend exciting lectures, demonstrations and watch research in action at Fraunhofer ILT and TOS. The students can broaden their knowledge in workshops, exercises and lectures in the programs “Laser Technology,” “Lasers for the Environment” and “Optics in Everyday Life.” Afterwards, the institutes will hold a farewell ceremony and award certificates .
